The most important include a woman’s age, the quality of eggs and sperm, underlying health conditions, and the specific reasons for infertility. Younger women (typically under age 35) generally have the highest success rates — usually around 40–50% per cycle. For women in their late 30s and 40s, success rates gradually decline due to reduced egg quality and quantity. Previous pregnancy history, lifestyle habits, and overall health also play a significant role in determining outcomes.
Preparing your body for IVF can significantly improve your chances of success. Experts recommend:
These steps help optimize egg and sperm quality and support a healthier reproductive environment.
Fertility naturally begins to decline with age, especially after 35. Women in their late 20s and early 30s typically have the best fertility potential. If you are planning to conceive later or have medical conditions affecting fertility, it is advisable to consider fertility assessment, ovarian reserve testing, or fertility preservation (such as egg freezing) in your early 30s. Every woman is different, so understanding your reproductive health early can help you plan more confidently for the future.
If an IVF cycle fails, additional tests can help identify possible reasons. These may include:
These investigations help identify issues related to embryo quality, uterine environment, sperm integrity, or hormonal imbalance, allowing for a more personalized treatment plan for future cycles.
Yes. Most women who conceive through IVF go on to have a normal, healthy pregnancy and delivery. However, close monitoring and hormonal support are often required during the early stages of pregnancy. Certain risks may be slightly higher due to factors like age or underlying fertility issues, but overall health and medical history play a much bigger role in determining the type of delivery.
Men with low sperm count have multiple treatment options to achieve pregnancy. After a thorough evaluation, treatment may include lifestyle modifications, medical therapy to address hormonal or underlying conditions, or advanced assisted reproductive techniques. Procedures such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) may be effective in mild cases, while in vitro fertilization (IVF) with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) offers high success rates even with very low sperm counts. With individualized care and advanced technology, many couples can successfully conceive despite male factor infertility.
Men with zero sperm count (azoospermia) have treatment options based on the underlying cause. After detailed evaluation, azoospermia may be obstructive or non-obstructive. Treatment may include medical or hormonal therapy, surgical correction of blockages, or advanced sperm retrieval procedures such as TESA, TESE, or micro-TESE. When sperm are successfully retrieved, pregnancy can be achieved using IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). With specialized fertility care and advanced technology, many men with azoospermia are able to achieve biological parenthood.
